Role Description

We are hiring a Technical Recruiter to support Plaid’s growing Engineering organization. You will own full-cycle recruiting across a few GenSWE pipelines.

As a full-cycle recruiter, you will partner closely with technical and business leaders to drive searches from sourcing through close. You will build and manage high-quality pipelines, design and execute recruiting strategies, and provide data-driven insights that guide hiring decisions. You will act as a trusted advisor to your stakeholders while championing a candidate-first experience that reflects Plaid’s values and high standards.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility opportunity where your work will directly influence how Plaid builds its technical organization and scales to meet ambitious goals.

• Own full-cycle recruiting for GenSWE roles, from sourcing and outreach through final rounds and offer close.
• Build, manage, and nurture diverse candidate pipelines through creative sourcing, networking, and market research.
• Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing data, market insights, and structured feedback to guide decision-making.
• Lead candidate debriefs, manage closing strategies, and ensure decisions align with Plaid’s hiring bar and candidate experience standards.
• Track and analyze recruiting metrics to identify bottlenecks, improve funnel conversion, and enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with sourcers, coordinators, and cross-functional partners to deliver a consistent and seamless candidate experience.
• Represent Plaid’s culture and mission authentically throughout the recruiting process.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including experience hiring technical talent in-house.
• Strong sourcing capability with experience identifying and engaging engineering, data, or security candidates in competitive markets.
• Proven success partnering with senior technical stakeholders to shape hiring decisions and influence outcomes.
• Deep understanding of technical roles and disciplines, including fluency in Full Stack or Backend skill sets.
• Skilled closer with experience negotiating offers and managing candidate relationships through final stages.
• Data-driven mindset; comfortable using recruiting metrics and market insights to inform decisions and recommend process improvements.
• Candidate-first approach with a focus on empathy, transparency, and consistent communication.

Requirements

• Exposure to fintech, SaaS, or high-growth technology recruiting environments.
• Experience in an embedded or client lead recruiting model, acting as a strategic partner to hiring teams.
• Familiarity with inclusive hiring practices and experience building diverse technical pipelines.
• Demonstrated success improving recruiting programs or playbooks that enhance candidate experience and process scalability.
