[Hiring] Senior People Advisor @Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

Role Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior People Advisor in Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to provide support to our services.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Senior People Advisor who will be instrumental in supporting the development of just and learning culture. This will include:

• Supporting the review and development of people policies and management training packages.
• Providing expert advice on a range of complex employee relation cases including:
  • Disciplinary processes
  • Grievance
  • Performance management
  • Management of change
  • TUPE
  • Absence management
• Increasing the management capacity of line managers by coaching and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to handle staff management responsibilities.

You should have:

• Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and providing professional advice up to and including at hearing panels.
• Experience of working collaboratively with staff, staff side representatives, senior operational managers, and people colleagues.
• Relevant experience of successfully managing a varied and demanding caseload, and meeting strict deadlines.
• The ability to act as a role model and advocate for the People Team and other colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of employment law.
• Experience in managing complex employee relations cases.

• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
• Capacity to manage a demanding caseload.
