[Hiring] Senior Manager, Recruiting Operations @Samsara

Role Description

Samsara's Recruiting Operations team runs the engine behind every hire, from the moment a req opens to the day an offer is signed. We're looking for a Senior Manager to own that engine end to end:

• Leading our Recruiting Coordination Manager and two Recruiting Operations Managers.
• Driving the AI-powered transformation that will make hiring at Samsara faster and sharper for years to come.

This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US.

In this role, you will:

• Own the vision and strategy for all of Recruiting Operations end to end, from req management through scheduling to offer approval.
• Lead the function through a Recruiting Coordination Manager and two Recruiting Operations Managers, building each of their capability to run their part of the system while you focus on strategy and escalations.
• Lead Samsara through a major recruiting technology transformation over the next year: use AI to rebuild how the team works, not just automate a step, and own the change management that makes it stick.
• Refine the operating model for recruiting operations, elevating team delivery while automation and AI take over manual administrative tasks.
• Use data and insights to set goals, track progress, and influence decisions, partnering with recruiting and business executive leadership.
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team).
• Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in recruiting operations, recruiting coordination, or a closely related recruiting or HR related role.
• At least 5 of those years in a formal people-leadership role, including experience managing people-managers.
• A builder's mindset with AI and automation: has tested, prototyped, or built tools or workflows themselves.
• Has led a team through a major recruiting technology transition, change management included.
• Has used data to run a recruiting operations or coordination function, and can name a specific decision that data changed.
• Based remotely within the US.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or AI-augmented workflows.
• Direct experience with HR and recruiting platforms.
• A track record of measurably improving candidate or employee experience at scale.
• Has defined baselines and measured the before-and-after impact of a process or automation change.
• Strong executive stakeholder management skills across Recruiting, PeopleTech, and Business partners.

• Annual Base Salary: $122,080 — $218,000 USD.
