[Hiring] Payroll Coordinator @S&S Activewear

Role Description

The Payroll Coordinator supports the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of bi-weekly and ad hoc payroll. This role reviews and reconciles payroll data, calculates wages and deductions, responds to employee payroll inquiries, and maintains accurate records in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements. The Payroll Coordinator partners closely with Human Resources, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, support payroll reporting and tax filings, and identify opportunities to strengthen payroll processes. Success in this role requires attention to detail, sound judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to manage high-volume, multi-state payroll activities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 2–3 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Experience processing multi-state payroll
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with payroll reporting, account reconciliations, and payroll tax filings
• Working knowledge of payroll principles, payroll tax regulations, and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues accurately
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team environment

Requirements

• Experience with Workday and ADP Smart Compliance (preferred)
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus
