Role Description

We're looking for an experienced Immigration & Mobility Specialist with strong US and/or global immigration expertise to support our growing global workforce. This in-house role combines people-focused support with rigorous immigration operations, delivering a high-quality, human-centred experience in partnership with external legal counsel.

You'll be a trusted partner to employees, candidates, and managers through new hires, relocations, visa renewals, and sponsorship processes. You'll help ensure compliance while making timelines, requirements, and next steps clear, reducing uncertainty during important transitions.

You'll join a collaborative team where your work directly supports employees at pivotal moments in their careers and lives. As Nscale expands globally, you'll have the opportunity to shape and scale our immigration program and work through complex, cross-border challenges.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Act as the primary point of contact for immigration queries, providing clear, timely, and empathetic guidance to employees, candidates, and managers.
  • Support people through complex and sensitive immigration processes, ensuring they understand timelines, requirements, and next steps, and handling high-stakes conversations with care.
  • Own day-to-day immigration case management across the US, working with external legal counsel on complex matters.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting, meet compliance obligations, and proactively identify and address immigration risks.
  • Manage relationships with external legal counsel and other immigration partners, ensuring service levels meet our standards for employee support.
  • Document workflows and build tracking systems that improve transparency, accountability, and the employee experience.
  • Use data, program metrics, and feedback to improve immigration processes and service delivery.
  • Partner with People, Talent Acquisition, Legal, and business leaders to translate complex regulations into practical guidance and help scale Nscale's global immigration program.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of demonstrable US immigration experience, gained in-house or with a service provider.
  • Strong knowledge of US and/or global immigration frameworks and experience managing cases in partnership with external legal counsel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes clearly and empathetically.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound judgement and confidence handling sensitive situations with discretion, professionalism, and compassion.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach, a strong sense of accountability, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively while staying calm under pressure.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting immigration in a high-growth, start-up, or scaling environment.
  • Exposure to data centre, infrastructure, or technical workforce populations.
  • Experience building or refining in-house immigration processes.
  • Strong data reporting and program metrics experience.
  • A track record of improving employee-facing processes and service delivery.
  • Creative, tenacious problem-solving skills and confidence navigating complex situations.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive package (base + equity) with reviews every 12 months.
  • Join the fastest-growing tech startup, your chance to push boundaries, collaborate with brilliant minds, and make your mark on cutting-edge AI.
  • Expect a dynamic progression plan tailored to your ambitions. Grow by trying new things, leading, challenging the status quo, and owning your impact, always with our full support.
  • Human-First Flexibility: We treat you as humans first. Our flexible workplace trusts Nscalers to deliver, giving you the autonomy to shape your day around life's moments.
