[Hiring] HR Operations Analyst @Burke+Co

Role Description

Our client, a growing executive search & advisory firm, is looking for a data-driven HR Operations Analyst to own its people systems, reporting, and data infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves connecting the dots between people, technology, and data. This person will play a key role in building scalable People Operations processes as the business grows.

• HRIS Administration: Own the day-to-day administration, configuration, maintenance, and data integrity of the company's HRIS platform, including user access, system updates, and troubleshooting.
• People Reporting & Analytics: Build and maintain reports tracking headcount, attrition, hiring activity, tenure, compensation, and other key people metrics. Respond to ad hoc reporting requests from leadership and cross-functional partners.
• Systems & Integrations: Manage integrations between the HRIS and connected platforms, including payroll and finance systems. Troubleshoot data flow issues and partner with vendors and internal teams to ensure systems run smoothly.
• Data Governance: Establish and maintain data standards, field definitions, and data entry guidelines. Conduct regular audits, resolve discrepancies, and help ensure data practices meet privacy and compliance requirements.
• Process Improvement & Automation: Identify manual, repetitive workflows and develop scalable solutions through system enhancements, automation, and process redesign. Partner with People Operations to improve employee lifecycle processes and reduce administrative friction.
• Documentation & Infrastructure: Maintain clear documentation of system configurations, integrations, and workflows while helping build a reliable, scalable people data infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in HRIS administration, people analytics, HR systems, or a related field.
• Professional services experience is a plus!
• Hands-on experience administering an HRIS platform such as Paylocity, Workday, BambooHR, ADP, or similar.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data modeling.
• Experience building reports and dashboards; familiarity with Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar BI tools is a plus.
• Comfortable navigating multiple systems, troubleshooting integrations, and understanding how data flows between platforms.
• A detail-oriented, analytical thinker who can translate ambiguous questions into structured analyses and actionable insights.
• A proactive problem-solver who enjoys improving processes, increasing data accuracy, and finding smarter ways to work.
