[Hiring] Head of People and Talent @Bedrock Facility Solutions

Role Description

As Bedrock adds people across Sales, Facility Operations, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering, we need a leader who can build the systems that support them. The Head of People and Talent will lead recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation planning, HR operations, and workforce planning. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will advise company leadership, coach managers, recruit important positions, and make sure Bedrock’s people practices are clear, fair, and legally sound. You should be comfortable building a policy one day and helping a manager handle a difficult employee conversation the next.

What You Will Do

• Create a workforce plan that connects hiring priorities with Bedrock’s business goals.
• Lead recruiting for commercial, operational, customer, product, engineering, and leadership positions.
• Build structured hiring processes, interview plans, scorecards, and approval procedures.
• Develop compensation ranges using current market data and internal job responsibilities.
• Manage the applicant tracking system and keep candidate communication organized.
• Build onboarding plans that give new employees clear expectations, training, access, and support.
• Create and maintain employee policies, handbooks, job descriptions, and HR procedures.
• Oversee employee records, required documentation, work authorization, and HR system accuracy.
• Coordinate payroll, benefits, leave administration, and related employee questions.
• Build a clear performance management process with goals, feedback, reviews, and development plans.
• Coach managers on hiring, feedback, documentation, performance issues, and employee concerns.
• Handle employee relations matters carefully, consistently, and confidentially.
• Coordinate workplace investigations when concerns are reported.
• Review employee classifications, compensation practices, leave requirements, and employment processes for compliance.
• Track hiring activity, headcount, turnover, retention, compensation, and other useful people metrics.
• Help leadership prepare for future hiring in additional states.
• Work with employment counsel, benefits advisers, payroll partners, and other professional service providers when specialized guidance is needed.
• Make sure Bedrock’s values show up in how people are hired, managed, recognized, and held accountable.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive human resources or people operations experience.
• At least three years in an HR leadership, People Operations leadership, or Human Resources Director role.
• Experience building or significantly improving HR processes within a growing organization.
• Experience recruiting across several job functions, including sales, operations, customer service, and technology.
• Strong knowledge of federal employment requirements and Florida employment practices.
• Experience with employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, compensation, benefits, and HR operations.
• Ability to advise company leaders while still managing detailed HR work directly.
• Experience implementing or managing an HRIS, payroll platform, applicant tracking system, or performance management system.
• Strong judgment, discretion, and written communication.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee matters without avoiding difficult conversations.
• SHRM CP, SHRM SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is helpful but not required.
• You must currently reside in Florida and be available for occasional meetings within the state.
• A college degree is not required. Relevant leadership experience, sound judgment, knowledge of employment practices, and the ability to build reliable systems matter most.

Compensation

This is a full-time W2 position with a competitive base salary and a target performance bonus. The base salary range is displayed on this posting.
