[Hiring] Disability Management Leave Specialist @Co-op

Role Description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Disability Management & Leave Specialist on a permanent basis on our Compensation, Benefits & Pension team. This position is a remote opportunity and can be based across Western Canada.

• Act as a trusted advisor on disability, WCB, and leave management programs.
• Lead the effective administration of complex WCB and disability leave, workplace accommodation, and fitness-for-work cases while ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and collective agreements.
• Partner with leaders, People & Culture teams, and external providers to deliver coordinated case management and return-to-work outcomes.
• Champion a positive employee experience by guiding individuals through leave, accommodation, and return-to-work journeys.
• Advance program effectiveness through data-driven insights, process improvements, and industry best practice implementation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in human resources, specializing in disability management and WCB leave administration, accommodation, and return-to-work coordination.
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration, preferably majoring in HR (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
• Professional designation such as CDMP, CRTWC, or equivalent disability management certification is considered an asset.
