[Hiring] Contract Recruiter @Stealth HealthTech Startup

Role Description

Our business is growing quickly, with leading healthcare companies as customers. To keep pace, we’re bringing on a Contract Recruiter to work directly with our leadership and drive hiring across the US and Canada. This is a hands-on, full-cycle role, not a coordination seat. You’ll run searches end to end, shape how we hire, and leave our process stronger than you found it. For the right person, there’s a path to extend the contract or convert to a full-time Talent Partner role.

• Own full-cycle hiring across multiple functions, from intake and sourcing through offer and close.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of talent across the US and Canada to support company needs.
• Lead internal hiring efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and managing job postings.
• Oversee outreach and screening processes to engage the right candidates.
• Raise the bar on how we interview: train and coach hiring managers, calibrate interviewers, and hold the line on quality.
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date talent database, tracking availability and qualifications.
• Report weekly on pipeline health, time-to-fill, and progress against hiring goals.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, human resources, or related roles, with a track record of closing hard-to-fill roles.
• End-to-end ownership of searches, including intake, sourcing, screening, interview design, offer negotiation, and close (not just coordination or top-of-funnel).
• Experience recruiting in the US and/or Canada, including familiarity with market compensation and candidate expectations in both.
• Comfort ramping quickly as a contractor: you can plug into a new team, learn the business, and produce results in your first weeks.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Operationally excellent, with a high daily output and precision in execution.
• Strong attention to detail and a track record of getting the details right.
• Experience hiring in healthcare or a regulated environment is a plus.
