Role Description

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Assistant Director - Human Resources and Safety Services to join the fast-paced Human Resources & Safety (HRS) Team in our Perth Office on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Director - People, Culture and Safety, you will play a critical leadership role within the HRS Team, in the effective administration of HR Services and management of HR/Work Health and Safety (WHS) systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver high quality advice to employees on conditions of employment.
• Interpreting and providing accurate, consistent and timely advice, both verbally and in writing.
• Monitoring your own workload and that of your team, working collaboratively to prioritise urgent enquiries.
• Other duties as directed to ensure the outcomes of the HRS are met.
• Leading and delivering HR business improvement projects, while maintaining the delivery of other team priorities.

Qualifications

• Experienced human resource professional with the ability to apply demonstrated experience and knowledge.
• Reputation as a trusted advisor to Executives and senior leaders.
• Exceptional relationship building, communication, negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills.
• Strong HR expertise and hands-on approach to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Pass a pre-employment medical assessment and maintain medical fitness.
• Pass and maintain a security clearance to a level appropriate for the position.
• Undergo pre-employment checks, including national police clearance and declaration of conflict of interest.
• Available for contact outside of ordinary working hours when reasonable.
