About The Role

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in HR, Learning & Development, or Talent Management, ideally in the youth sports or insurance industry. This role will report to the Chief People Officer and is available to work remotely or hybrid near one of our regional employee hubs (Minneapolis, MN or Dallas, TX), unless approved otherwise. Players Health is a remote-first distributed workforce. Travel may be required for team collaboration, training, and development. The Account Manager role has a compensation range of $80,000 - $110,00 depending on skills and experience.

Responsibilities (are inclusive of but not limited to):

L&D Responsibilities:

  • HR Onboarding & Integration: Partner with the Sales Learning & Enablement Manager to streamline the onboarding experience, ensuring alignment between company-wide and department-specific training. Collaborate with Sales & Enablement Manager to allocate LMS resources across the HR and Enablement learning program
  •  People Programs & Performance Management: Lead the annual review cycle, including 90-day reviews, 360 feedback, individual development plans, and succession planning. 
  • Manager & Leadership Development: Build and facilitate manager training programs, focusing on coaching, performance management, and career growth. Coordinate leadership development initiatives to enhance managerial skills across the organization, applying training design, resource allocation, and feedback collection.
  • Employee Engagement & Learning Culture: Support engagement initiatives and collaborate on Learning Labs and company-wide training efforts. Manage engagement missions to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, using engagement strategy, communication, and change management abilities.
  • Career Development & Internal Mobility: Establish career tracks, coaching programs, and competency frameworks to enhance talent retention. Lead career development projects to support employee growth and internal mobility.
  • Learning Technology & Measurement: Leverage learning management system (LMS) and learning tools to track training effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement. Oversee learning technology tasks to optimize training delivery and measurement, utilizing technology integration, data analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.

HR Responsibilities:

  • HR Compliance & Policy Support: Assist with the administration and communication of HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Manage compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to regulations and policies.
  • Compensation & Benefits Support: Partner with HR leadership on benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee education. Coordinate compensation and benefits projects to ensure effective and timely delivery.
  • HR Operations & Administration: Provide backup support to the People Coordinator as needed, assisting with HR documentation, reporting, and system updates.
  • Leave & Accommodation Support: Assist employees with leave of absence requests, accommodations, and return-to-work processes. 
  • Recruiting & Onboarding Assistance: Support recruitment efforts by coordinating interviews, facilitating new hire orientation, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Employee Engagement & Culture Initiatives: Help drive engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and company-wide HR events. Manage engagement and culture projects to enhance workplace satisfaction.
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource: Address employee concerns, support conflict resolution, and ensure a positive workplace environment.  
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Occasional travel for team engagement, collaboration, or events

Minimum Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in HR, Learning & Development, or Talent Management.
  • Experience designing and implementing performance management frameworks (90-day reviews, 360 feedback, succession planning).
  • Strong facilitation skills for manager and leadership training.
  • Familiarity with HR processes, engagement strategies, and learning technologies.
  • Strong emotional intelligence skills.
  • 1+ years of project management experience in an HR or Learning & Development (L&D) capacity, demonstrating proficiency in managing multiple projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering results within set timelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Although not required, a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field is desired.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
  • Demonstrated experience and/or ability to influence without authority
  • Demonstrated ability to build connections and rapport cross-departmentally
  • Participant/involvement in or strong understanding of the youth/amateur sports landscape.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel occasionally for team events, collaboration, engagement, conferences, or customer visits
  • Must have a dedicated safe and secure remote work environment
  • Must have the ability to work and be productive in a remote work environment
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and ability to work autonomously
  • Proactive communicator in all communication methods, including email (Outlook), verbal (in-person & phone), instant messaging (Slack & Teams)
  • Willingness and ability to attend virtual meetings with camera on – we respect that there are times when employees may need to turn their camera off.   • Located in or willingness to work on Central or Eastern Time Zone
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Work location must be in the United States
