Role Description

As a finance and general accounting technician, you help manage financial accounts in accordance with the organization’s objectives by:

• Producing reports
• Performing audits, inspections, and financial simulations
• Analyzing risks, profits, and losses
• Planning and reviewing budget processes
• Managing and controlling the organization’s accounting systems
• Gathering, processing, and recording financial data
• Assisting with product and service pricing, financial engineering, financial market transactions, and tax law analysis (including payroll)
• Serving as a technical collaborator and providing discipline-specific support for your unit’s activities, initiatives, and processes
• Researching and analyzing processes, information management, and data processing
• Solving technical problems and helping develop and improve methods and procedures

More specifically, you will be required to:

• Provide technical support for projects and operational issues
• Conduct technical studies, research, and analysis and serve as a resource person for the submission of solutions and action plans
• Roll out and maintain software and manual and automated processes. Train users
• Prepare technical notes to enhance the skills and knowledge of users and their teams
• Help the unit with skills development
• Help practitioners follow your unit’s standards and processes and use its business solutions, tools, and systems

Qualifications

• College diploma in a related field
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of French is required
