Role Description
As Senior Finance Manager, you'll own the corporate finance cycle and decide what it should become. This is a hands-on role with real latitude, working directly with senior leadership on capital, pricing, and headcount decisions.
-
Own the corporate finance cycle end to end, including the monthly reporting package, the driver-based forecast, annual planning, and scenario analysis.
-
Frame which scenarios are worth running ahead of capital, pricing, and headcount decisions, and bring a recommendation rather than a set of outputs.
-
Lead the annual planning process across departments, from calendar and templates through consolidation and board-ready output.
-
Lead cross-functional alignment on metric definitions, reporting dimensions, and financial data hygiene.
-
Own the company-level KPI and metrics layer, deciding what leadership measures as the business evolves.
-
Drive market and competitor research to support pricing and packaging, capital allocation, and improve financial forecasting.
-
Communicate complex financial mechanics to people outside finance, driving cross-functional decisions and leadership buy-in.
-
Set how budget management runs across departments, including the cadence and accountability of department leaders.
-
Be a thought leader steering the finance function's AI operating standard and build the systems and agents to support it.
-
Partner with Sales leadership on capacity model and KPI tracking.
Qualifications
-
7+ years in FP&A or strategic finance, including several years at a SaaS or usage-based business.
-
An investment banking, consulting, or private equity background preferred.
-
Strong modeling skills and ability to develop frameworks to solve complex problems.
-
Multiple annual planning cycles owned end to end.
-
A history of building 3-statement models from scratch, with scenario and sensitivity analysis.
-
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles.
-
Advanced Google Sheets or Excel skills, and comfort with large datasets and formula-heavy models.
-
Deep system-level understanding of how financial data moves across source systems, the warehouse, and the planning and reporting layer.
-
Deep command of SaaS metrics and their drivers.
-
Working knowledge of SQL.
-
Hands-on experience building AI workflows other teams adopt.
-
Experience presenting analysis and recommendations to executive staff.
-
Deep curiosity about our business, product, customers, competitors, and industry trends.
Requirements
-
Comfort being the only person on this work; no junior analyst supporting the role.
-
Ability to notice inefficiencies and fix them without being asked.
-
Excitement to build tooling, reporting layers, and automation.
Benefits
-
Competitive salary range of $150,000 - $208,000 for most US-based locations.
-
Robust benefits and participation in Netlify's equity plan.
