[Hiring] Senior Accountant @Outforce

Role Description

The Senior Accountant will work with the Controller to oversee entries related to our cemetery and funeral home locations and manage a portion of the accounting closing process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or accounting
• At least five (5) years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong, hands-on US GAAP experience (must have)
• Multi-entity accounting experience, including intercompany and consolidation (must have)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent written and spoken English; able to work in US hours

Requirements

• Cash Management: Record daily cash deposits and disbursements, ensure all entries are posted accurately and timely, resolve any discrepancies within cash general ledger account
• General Ledger Management: Maintain additional general ledger accounts, prepare monthly accruals and recurring entries, work with various team members to maintain subledgers
• Reconciliations: Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, prepare additional monthly and quarterly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
• Month-End and Year-End Close: Assist with the timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end close processes
• Report Preparation: Prepare weekly and monthly reporting to support management decision making
• Auditing and Compliance: Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement ways to improve accounting efficiency and accuracy through process enhancements and use of accounting software and systems
