[Hiring] Manager Regional Commercial Real Estate Underwriting @First Citizens Bank

Role Description

This is a remote role and could be hired in NC, FL, SC. The Manager Regional Commercial Real Estate Underwriting is responsible for the oversight and management of associates and activities related to a Commercial Underwriting team. Primary responsibilities include:

• Management of people, processes, performance, and credit-related projects.
• Identification, development, and retention of solid underwriting talent.
• Strategic review and analysis of processes to assist Senior Management in optimizing production activities and ensuring quality of team efforts.
• Recommendations for adjustments to processes, procedures, tools, and potential policy changes to achieve business goals.
• Monitoring individual and team performance, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Providing expertise in underwriting, servicing, and other activities that support Commercial Lending.
• Assisting Senior Leadership with risk identification and mitigation, recommending enhancements to portfolio management and monitoring practices as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 12 years' experience in Commercial Lending or Credit Analysis and supervisory.
• Advanced skillset for commercial credit underwriting inclusive of complex credit structures and potentially specific industries.
• Leadership and partnership skills.

Requirements

• Experience managing others.
• Microsoft Excel competency required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Experience working with credit exposure of 5 million and above preferred.
