[Hiring] Fractional CFO @Flowpouch

Role Description

Flow Pouches is looking for a finance leader to help transition the business from founder-led decision making into a structured operating company. You will be responsible for:

• A weekly ecommerce P&L — cash in and out by category: ads, inventory, operations.
• A 13-week rolling cash forecast we can actually use before committing to an inventory order or an ad budget.
• Margin by channel — subscriptions, one-time purchases, and Amazon, each with its own contribution margin.
• Cash conversion cycle reporting, so we know how long our cash is tied up before every purchase.
• A subscription revenue model that tells us what we can afford to spend to acquire a customer.
• Books we can trust — QuickBooks sorted out, then bookkeeping done to a standard you set and audit.
• Two founders who can read their own numbers.

This role is not for manual bookkeeping or running payroll; you will direct and audit the work. You will recommend budgets, and the founders will approve spending. We seek an advisor who can build systems, not a controller needing a finance team to produce results.

Qualifications

• Experience leading finance at a DTC ecommerce brand at eight or nine figures.
• Understanding of subscription businesses — retention, cohorts, and acquisition spending.
• Experience managing cash where inventory is paid for long before it sells.
• Ability to explain financial models to non-finance founders in a concise manner.
• Availability during US business hours and quick turnaround on tasks.
• References confirming that the companies you helped grow remained healthy while scaling.

Requirements

• Willingness to fix messy books and build reporting simultaneously.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work with imperfect data.
• Capability to make quick decisions and be available outside normal working hours when necessary.
• Experience building finance functions rather than running established ones.
