[Hiring] Corporate Tax Manager @Forvis Mazars

Role Description

We're a globally integrated audit, tax and advisory firm with offices in more than 100 countries and we're always ready to recruit an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join our Tax Consulting team in a fully remote role, working from anywhere in Australia.

As part of our Tax Consulting team, in this role your focus will be on providing outstanding tax advisory services to a diverse client portfolio. You will work closely with Tax Partners and senior team members on complex matters, including structuring, international tax, M&A, due diligence and corporate tax compliance.

This is a fully remote position for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of work, managing competing priorities and maintaining strong relationships without day-to-day office-based supervision.

• Researching, analysing and interpreting Australian tax legislation and ATO guidance.
• Drafting tax advice on Australian and cross-border corporate tax issues.
• Assisting with business and investment structuring matters.
• Liaising with the ATO and supporting client engagements.
• Working on M&A tax, due diligence and international tax matters.
• Managing complex corporate tax compliance obligations for local and international clients.
• Collaborating with partners, colleagues and other service lines across Australia and our global network.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' Australian public practice experience in a corporate tax role is essential, with a minimum of 5 years’ total relevant experience.
• Experience advising on corporate tax, CGT, companies, M&A tax and/or international tax.
• Strong technical research, drafting and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound judgement, commercial awareness and a practical approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work independently in a remote role while building trusted relationships with clients, partners and colleagues.
• Completed or currently completing a Master of Tax or similar qualification is preferred.
