[Hiring] Financial Accounting Manager @Who Gives A Crap

Role Description

As our Financial Accounting Manager, you’ll be the person who really knows what’s going on inside our UK numbers. You’ll own the monthly close for our UK balance sheet, get across our transaction flows and revenue channels, and work closely with our UK commercial team to keep things on track. You’ll also lead one of our more exciting projects this year: building a proper playbook for how we onboard big new retail customers, so every new partnership starts on the right foot. You’ll have one direct report, and you’ll be part of our senior Financial Operations leadership team.

• Reviewed and signed off the UK balance sheet reconciliation ahead of month-end close, flagging anything that didn’t look quite right.
• Jumped on a call with the UK commercial team to untangle a question about a revenue channel.
• Pulled together the first draft of our retail customer onboarding playbook — the non-negotiables we need in place before we start trading with a new big retail partner.
• Checked in with your Financial Accounting Manager peers in Australia and the US/Canada to compare notes on what’s working (and what’s not).
• Had a go at using Claude or Gemini to speed up a reporting task.
