[Hiring] B2B Collections Specialist @Aston Carter

Role Description

As a Collections Specialist, you will manage Accounts Receivable (AR) Aging reports for various locations and subsidiaries. You will also handle escalated accounts and invoices from branches requiring advanced collection efforts. Your primary tasks will involve direct communication with customers through calls and emails to ensure successful collection of outstanding debts.

• Manage AR Aging reports for assigned locations and subsidiaries.
• Handle escalated accounts and invoices requiring higher-level collection.
• Prepare collection letters and request attorney involvement as needed.
• Recommend accounts for third-party collection or write-off.
• Communicate with the Collections Manager regarding the status of past due accounts.
• Monitor and resolve financial discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed notes on accounts to document collection efforts.
• Work on returned statements to collect outstanding debt and update ERP systems.
• Ensure the security and privacy of customer information.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
• Make 30-35 calls per day.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in collection and credit work.
• Strong customer service focus.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using CRM and ERP software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of statistics and data analysis.
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal collection laws, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
• Proficiency in typing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's or associate's degree preferred.
• Experience with Profit Zoom and Sedona software is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics for cross-training purposes.
