Role Description

We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to lead, optimize, and scale our end-to-end revenue cycle operations. This role will be critical in improving billing, collections, and reimbursement processes, ensuring strong financial performance and operational excellence.

  • Analyze and improve revenue cycle procedures
  • Implement automation and technology-driven solutions
  • Develop key performance metrics to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and cash flow
  • Build and mentor a high-performing RCM team to support growth

Core Areas of Responsibility

  • Build & Optimize RCM Infrastructure
    • Develop and implement scalable best-in-class revenue cycle processes
    • Optimize claims processing, coding accuracy, charge capture, and collections workflows
    • Evaluate and upgrade RCM technology and automation tools
    • Establish standardized policies, procedures, and best practices across the revenue cycle
  • Improve Key Metrics & Drive Measurable Performance Gains
    • Develop and track key performance metrics
    • Implement a structured denials management program
    • Drive collection rate improvements
    • Ensure timely and accurate claim submissions
  • Strengthen Reporting & Data-Driven Decision-Making
    • Build and maintain real-time dashboards and automated reporting tools
    • Establish a structured reporting cadence
    • Analyze payer performance and reimbursement trends
  • Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Build and lead a high-performing RCM team
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for RCM
    • Partner with finance and accounting
    • Work closely with product and engineering
    • Collaborate with operations
  • Proactive Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement
    • Identify and resolve systemic issues
    • Develop a continuous improvement framework
    • Establish a feedback loop with payers, operations, and finance
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Impact and Success Indicators

Where you’ll make an impact in the first 90 days:

  • Gain a deep understanding of key RCM performance metrics
  • Complete a full assessment of RCM processes, workflows, and technology
  • Develop a structured reporting framework
  • Implement a systematic approach to denials management
  • Optimize the claims submission and reimbursement process
  • Partner with finance to refine cash forecasting methodologies
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the RCM team
  • Develop an initial roadmap for optimizing RCM operations

  • Optimize or implement a scalable RCM set of software, tools, and systems
  • Achieve measurable improvements in key revenue cycle KPIs
  • Establish a structured, data-driven RCM reporting cadence
  • Lead initiatives to increase collections and reduce claim rejections
  • Build a long-term strategy for RCM
  • Ensure full compliance with revenue recognition policies
  • Partner closely with finance and operations

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this full-time, exempt role is $150,000 - $240,000. The final offer is dependent on qualifications and experience. New hires can reasonably expect an offer between $150,000 and $195,000.
