Role Description
As the Director of International Tax Services, you will be a key leader within our tax practice, overseeing the delivery of comprehensive international tax and transfer pricing services to U.S. and foreign multinational clients.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for international tax planning, compliance, and consulting services.
- Advise U.S. and foreign multinational companies on tax-efficient structuring, effective use of tax treaties, cross-border transactions, and repatriation strategies.
- Oversee transfer pricing compliance, planning, and controversy support, ensuring adherence to OECD guidelines and U.S. tax regulations.
- Lead and manage complex global tax projects, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, structuring, and entity rationalization.
- Identify opportunities for tax optimization, including the utilization of foreign tax credits, Subpart F planning, and BEAT/GILTI considerations.
- Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a strategic business advisor, identifying additional service opportunities.
- Collaborate with other practice areas, including audit and advisory teams, to provide integrated solutions to clients.
- Monitor and interpret changes in U.S. and international tax laws, advising clients on their impact and recommending proactive strategies.
- Develop and mentor a team of professionals, providing training, technical guidance, and performance management.
- Drive business development efforts, participating in networking events, thought leadership initiatives, and industry conferences.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive international tax consulting experience, including transfer pricing expertise.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification required.
- Master’s in Taxation, LLM in Taxation, or JD is a plus.
- Experience with a large public accounting firm, consulting firm, or law firm.
- Deep knowledge of inbound and outbound taxation, Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, and foreign tax credit utilization.
- Expertise in transfer pricing planning, documentation, and controversy support.
- Strong technical understanding of US GAAP and tax compliance/reporting for multinational entities.
- Proven leadership skills, with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
- Excellent business development and client relationship management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex tax concepts to clients and internal teams in a clear and concise manner.
