Role Description
The AR Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of collections/credits, account reconciliations, chargebacks (including disputes), and monitoring existing procedures to create and improve efficiencies.
- Apply customer payments in a timely and efficient manner, including retrieving remittance advice from various sources, reviewing and analyzing it, and applying the payment in NetSuite.
- Understand customer chargebacks, their coding, and supporting documentation, including where to pull documentation and cross-functional communication for support.
- Action customer chargeback disputes, including initiation, required documentation, tracking in Excel, and follow-up with customers.
- Partner with Sales and Operations departments to ensure chargebacks/deductions are properly approved.
- Reconcile AR accounts to ensure all payments are accounted for and correctly posted.
- Review and action the AR Aging to identify past-due receivables and engage with customers to collect past due balances.
- Proactively seek to improve existing processes and work with management to add efficiencies.
- Assist AR Manager, Accounting, and Finance team with other ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years accounts receivable experience within the consumer products industry.
- General knowledge of accounting principles.
- Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
- Proficiency in Google Suite of products (Drive, Email, Sheets, Calendar).
- Experience with enterprise messaging programs such as Teams or Slack.
- Experience with Amazon Vendor Central or other large scale customer platforms.
- Detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, as well as on camera in meetings.
- Ability to work well within a team while also being a strong individual contributor.
- Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced changing environment.

- Annual base pay for this position is $48,000 - $60,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus.
