Role Description
Flock Safety is looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager to join our team. This is a fully remote position, so exemplary time management skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks at once, critical thinking, a desire to solve customer problems, and effective communication throughout the customer experience are all key components to being successful in the role.
- Manage the day-to-day billing, collections, and customer support in relation to accounts receivable activity.
- Direct the accounts receivable agents in their daily tasks.
- Drive and own cash collections in the company.
- Set expectations and goals for the AR agents and direct their daily activities.
- Resolve complicated cases with multifaceted root-causes.
- Be the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders for billing case escalations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and individuals.
- Ensure maintenance of accurate and up-to-date collections notes related to billing cases.
- Answer internal and external customer questions through phone calls and email communications.
- Reconcile customer account balances and resolve billing issues.
- Thorough understanding of customer billing terms and systems.
- Meet team objectives, key results, goals, and metrics.
- Lead or support initiatives to improve existing functions and optimize workflow and resources.
- Train the team in executing their tasks effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in billing and collection activity at a fast-paced, high-growth company.
- At least 2 years of experience in a people management capacity.
- Customer service (external and internal) as a top priority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide guidance and motivate a high-performing team.
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex issues.
- Prior experience in customer service or customer success is a plus.
Requirements
- Strong organizational and structural skills.
- Ability to supervise and direct team members in a remote-first environment.
