Role Description

The grant-funded Social Work Recruitment and Placement Coordinator supports the administration of the California Social Work Education Capacity Expansion grant (SWECE) for the Master of Social Work program. The role focuses on outreach, recruitment, and student field placement in underserved California communities, in collaboration with Strategic Partnership Associates and Social Work faculty and staff. Works closely with the MSW Program Director and MSW Field Director to meet grant requirements and coordinate field placements. This position provides comprehensive support to students seeking field placement/supplemental supervision, field faculty, agency supervisors, directors, and executive directors through implementation of placement procedures and policy. The position is grant funded and is anticipated to end by June 30, 2027.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE-accredited MSW program
• Prefer 2+ years post-master's experience placing MSW students for field practicum in a university online platform
• Prefer some experience engaging in outreach or student recruitment events

Requirements

• Knowledge of academic processes in college/university setting
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
• Able to leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Grammarly, or similar) to improve productivity, streamline communication, draft content, summarize information, and support day-to-day administrative tasks
• Ability to exercise independent judgment, demonstrate tact and diplomacy, and maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and work under pressure
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative environment
• Substantial experience in an academic environment is desired
