[Hiring] National Consultant(s) / Trainer(s) on Gender Equality Issues @UN Women

Role Description

UN Women in Georgia supports state and non-state partners towards the achievement of substantive gender equality in Georgia. The consultants/trainers will be responsible for developing modules and conducting trainings on gender equality and women’s empowerment topics.

• Learn existing UN Women training modules on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment issues.
• Design new or adapt existing training modules/sessions for different target groups in consultation with UN Women staff.
• Conduct a series of trainings on gender equality and women’s empowerment for participants from various stakeholder groups.
• Conduct awareness raising activities on gender equality for various target groups.
• Conduct Training of Trainers (ToTs) on gender equality.
• Develop a detailed work plan for the assignments.
• Produce a training needs assessment questionnaire and conduct a needs assessment of training participants.
• Develop a detailed agenda, modules, presentations, and relevant training materials.
• Design and carry out pre- and post-training assessment questionnaires.
• Develop and conduct analysis of pre- and post-training assessments.
• Draft and submit the final training report outlining the training process and recommendations.
• Review and synthesize existing policies, legal frameworks, and programmatic approaches.
• Conduct policy analysis and produce knowledge products on gender equality and women’s empowerment.

Qualifications

• University degree (Master’s) in gender/women’s studies, human rights, sociology, law, international development or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, law, human rights with two additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the master’s degree.

Requirements

• At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in the field of gender equality and women’s rights.
• At least five (5) years of experience delivering trainings on gender issues to various stakeholders.
• At least five (5) years of proven experience in developing training manuals, modules, and programmes.
• Sound understanding of interactive learning methods and adult-learning techniques.
• Fluency in Georgian and good knowledge of English is required.
