[Hiring] Director, Matriculation: Corps Member Case Manager @Teach For America

Role Description

We are looking for a coach/case manager to guide our incoming corps members from the moment they accept their offer to their summer training. You'll manage a portfolio of new teachers and help each one move through credentialing, district hiring, school placement, and the other steps between saying yes and being ready to teach.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting new teachers and able to pair real care with high expectations. You'll build relationships that help corps members feel they belong, spot early signs that someone is struggling, and step in with support and resources before small challenges become reasons to leave. The goal is to make sure every incoming corps member starts the summer and thus the school year ready, supported, and committed.

Qualifications

• Experience as an instructional leader, school leader, principal, assistant principal, dean or educator with a strong track record of coaching/mentoring adults.
• Expertise in coaching, advising, mentoring, and developing emerging educators.
• Ability to build authentic relationships while holding people accountable to ambitious goals and commitments.
• Combines empathy, cultural responsiveness, clear communication, and high expectations.
• Ability to navigate complex challenges, solve problems proactively, and support people through change and uncertainty.
• Deep commitment to educational equity and to developing and retaining diverse teacher talent.
• Strong organization skills, with the ability to manage a portfolio of individuals, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders to ensure corps member success.

Requirements

• Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends during peak onboarding periods.
• Comfort using data and tracking tools to monitor progress and share insights with a team.

Benefits

• Compensation of $44.52 per hour throughout the commitment.
• Anticipated up to 15 hours weekly over the course of the Corps Member Matriculation season.

We recruit, develop, and support corps members teaching in schools across the Bay Area, in close partnership with districts, schools, and community organizations. In this role, you'll work alongside teammates who lead onboarding, matriculation, placement, training, and corps member support to make sure every new teacher has what they need before day one.
