Role Description

The Senior Graphic Designer sets the creative and quality bar for company output. This role takes a brief from concept to finished craft with minimal direction – originating ideas, providing art direction and delivering polished work at pace across motion, static, digital, brand and campaign formats.

Working under the Creative Lead, the Senior Graphic Designer operates with a high degree of autonomy:

• Translating briefs directly with brand, digital, trade and product stakeholders.
• Turning work around quickly without compromising quality.
• Owning the creative for priority streams of work – such as product and go-to-market – end to end.

Beyond their own output, the Senior Graphic Designer acts as a creative force multiplier for the team:

• Providing first-line creative review.
• Upholding the company visual system.
• Raising the standard.

AI fluency is central to how this role works:

• Using generative AI tools confidently in their day-to-day creative process.
• Bringing that capability into the team and lifting everyone’s output with it.

Autonomy, speed, creativity and AI-enabled thinking sit at the centre of this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Motion Design, or an Arts/Design-related field.
• 8+ years of experience in design, creative, or agency environments, with a portfolio demonstrating both conceptual range and craft excellence.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, prepaid products, or digital payments is an advantage.
• Experience providing creative review, art direction or informal leadership to other designers.

Requirements

• Mastery of the Adobe CC suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and proficiency in Figma.
• Strong motion graphics and video editing capability alongside static and brand design.
• The autonomy to take a brief from concept to finished craft with minimal direction.
• The speed and judgement to deliver high-quality work at pace in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong creative originality and art-direction ability, not execution alone.
• Demonstrable, hands-on experience using generative AI tools (such as image, video and motion generation, editing and productivity tools) as part of a live creative workflow.
• Strong prompting and AI art-direction ability: able to steer AI output to a specific creative intent and finish it to a professional standard.
• Curiosity and appetite to keep pace with a fast-moving AI creative landscape and to share that learning with the team.
• A collaborative, brand-consistent approach and the confidence to uphold the quality bar across the team.
