Role Description

This role involves handling projects from the initial client briefing through to the final stages of construction for our Client's community.

Tastefully design/draft plans within the budgetary framework for various projects
Manage design projects from concept development through to completion
Prepare drawings, blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
Develop and present project proposals
Prepare cost estimates for various renovation/construction projects
Conduct research and compile reports on feasibility and environmental impact
Comply with safety standards and local planning regulations
Collaborate with internal teams and participate in design development meetings with external parties
Assist in materials selection, specifications, materials take off, cost estimating, and other design/construction issues
Mentor junior architects and interns
Be flexible to contribute to the overall development of the company and take additional tasks as needed

Qualifications

At least 10 years of experience in architecture
Degree in architecture or a related field
Knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards
Excellent creative, graphic and visualization skills
Ability to engage in creative and critical thought
Ability to hand sketch and communicate abstract concepts and ideas to others effectively
Understanding of technical requirements and attention to detail
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and software programs such as AutoCAD, SketchUp/VRAY, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Newforma, etc.
Experience in materials takeoff and cost estimating preferred
Resourceful, solution-focused, caring, able to deliver, committed and highly organized
Demonstrated ability to think independently and recommend best practices
Superior organization, prioritization, and self-motivation skills
