[Hiring] Middle/Senior Product Designer @Selecto

Role Description

This position is only for a particular project, not a full time position. In this case, the social package (sick leaves, days off, vacation, necessary equipment provision, etc) is not covered by Selecto.

Domain: Sport Broadcasting

We are designing a flexible, scalable multi-platform digital experience across responsive web, mobile apps, and connected TV, delivered through a comprehensive design system. The goal is to ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience across all digital touchpoints, compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards, and capable of smoothly shifting between lower-intensity “Flame to Flame” periods and peak-demand “Games Time” moments. The experience must serve a global, multilingual audience and perform reliably during major traffic spikes.

Team: Design Lead, Multidisciplinary designers (UX, UI, motion, accessibility specialist), Project Manager, Design Directors, Content and Development teams.

Timeline: full time, 6 months with the possibility of prolongation.

Location: Europe, working Spanish business hours; able to travel occasionally for team or client sessions.

Languages: Fluent English, Fluent Spanish is a plus.

You own the experience end to end, from UX to UI, across the product’s digital ecosystem. Under the creative direction of the Associate Experience Design Director, you take briefs from problem to production:

• User flows
• Information architecture
• Wireframes and prototypes
• Pixel-perfect, production-ready UI across responsive web, native mobile and connected TV

This role is central to the design system build. You shape the interaction patterns and the visual language together:

• Component behaviour and states
• Typography
• Colour and iconography

The experience must flex between the intensity of dense data, live results, real-time updates and the editorial richness of storytelling, content discovery, athlete features, while reflecting the prestige and global reach of our brand.

AI is part of how this role works, not an add-on. You use it to explore faster, produce more and check your own work, while the taste, judgement and final craft remain yours.

Qualifications

• A senior product designer equally strong in UX and UI, with a portfolio that shows both across web and native mobile; connected TV is a plus.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining design system component libraries at scale, inside a team rather than alone.
• Experience on large, complex products inside big organisations strongly preferred: many stakeholders, multiple platforms, established design systems and real scale.
• Background in major events, sports, broadcast or streaming strongly preferred.
• Experience with live, real-time data interfaces (results, schedules, scores) is a clear advantage.
• AI-native in practice: already using AI tools in daily design work and able to show what changed because of it.
• Fluent English, spoken and written, and comfortable presenting work to clients. Spanish is a plus.
• Based in Europe, working Spanish business hours; able to travel occasionally for team or client sessions.
• Precise, fast and reliable within sprint cycles; takes direction well and gives clear feedback to developers.

Requirements

• Figma (expert level), including auto-layout, variants and design token workflows.
• User flows, information architecture, wireframing, interaction design and prototyping.
• Adobe Creative Cloud and prototyping tools.
• AI tools for exploration, asset generation, production acceleration and design QA; quick to learn new ones.
• Strong working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements.
• Experience building and maintaining atomic design system component libraries at scale.
• Understanding of platform-specific UI conventions: responsive web, iOS (HIG), Android (Material) and connected TV.
• Experience designing for real-time data and live event contexts, ideally in sports or broadcast.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and coded prototypes is a plus.
• Standard delivery and collaboration tools for project tracking, documentation and team communication.
