[Hiring] Junior Creative Director @METEOR

Role Description

Brand Sharks is growing its client roster and building out a creative team to keep pace, and the Junior Creative Director is the entry point into that team. The Junior Creative Director owns the two things that decide whether a client's content works: choosing which video ideas get made, and writing the scripts for them. This is a role for someone who already understands why short-form videos win, has the drive to prove it, and wants a clear path to grow into a Creative Director seat as the department scales.

• Has made videos outperform again and again, not once, and can explain the pattern behind why.
• Lives inside social media, follows creators closely, and notices new formats before they peak.
• Already knows what a hook, a payoff, and a retention curve are without being told.

• Protects long blocks of focused work and gets a lot done inside them.
• Uses AI tools naturally as part of how they write.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience creating short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts.
• Proven experience generating at least 5 outlier videos end-to-end (where the view count is 5x the follower count on the page).
• Solid understanding of hooks, payoffs, retention, and short-form structure, with no need to be taught the fundamentals.
• Consumes social media content daily, follows creators closely, and actively studies formats and what is working right now.
• Experience writing scripts in English for social media video.
• Comfortable working with AI tools, specifically drafting and refining scripts with Claude.
• Strong organization and time-blocking discipline, with the ability to protect long stretches of deep work.
• Coachable, competitive, and driven to improve quickly.
• Must have own webcam, microphone, and computer (relevant software and subscriptions provided).
• Excellent English verbal and written language proficiency (C2 in CEFR Scale).
• Access to a quiet work area at home with reliable internet (100 Mbps or more).

Requirements

• Success growing content for US-based or English-speaking market pages.
• Experience creating content for founder-led businesses or personal brands.
• Experience at a content creation, social media, or personal branding agency.
• Has grown their own social media account.
• Familiarity with Notion and Slack.

Benefits

• Q16,000 base salary.
• Full-time role.
• Remote work from home in Guatemala.
• Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM schedule.

Recruiting Process

• Application / Screening: A short questionnaire and psychometric evaluation will be conducted.
• Skills Assessment: Complete exercises/projects to gauge skill level.
• Skills Assessment Interview: A 60-90 minute conversation to evaluate skills and culture fit.
• Hiring Manager Final Interview: A 30-60 minute conversation with the Hiring Manager and team members.
