Role Description

We are redefining what an in-house agency is and are looking for a graphic designer to join the Herd. As an individual contributor within our marketing organization, your primary responsibilities will involve crafting visually appealing content and shaping the brand identity that supports our marketing efforts within the Domain Services line of business. This will include:

• Creating digital graphics, emails, newsletters, display channel ads, social posts, video content, and promotional materials.
• Collaborating with marketing team members and peers across the business, including sales, product management, and partners.
• Partnering on the development and ongoing evolution of a comprehensive brand book.
• Conceptualizing, creating, and refining marketing campaigns and brand assets.
• Proactively researching, testing, and leveraging emerging AI design tools.
• Designing requests for proposal (RFPs) and presentation decks for business leaders.
• Creating swag and designing event collateral (banners, booth kits, conference signage, etc.).
• Developing video content, including sizzle reels, teaser videos, tutorials, and how-to demos.
• Working closely and collaboratively with product, design, business development, and marketing teams.
• Effectively rationalizing and communicating ideas and designs to key stakeholders and senior business leaders.
• Managing print files and liaising with external printers and vendors.
• Creating accessible designs that comply with W3C and AODA.

This is a completely remote opportunity within the Greater Toronto Area with the expectation of attending onsite meetings, functions, and/or events upon request. This is a part-time position (20-25 hours/week) for a 6-month contract to start.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a graphic or visual designer at an advertising agency or in-house design team.
• Possess a certificate, degree, or diploma in graphic design or a related field.
• Provide a portfolio that demonstrates your design skills and conceptual thinking.
• Demonstrated ability leading the creative ideation process, from concept development through to execution.
• Experience contributing to brand development or brand evolution.
• Strong aesthetic skills and understanding of graphic design's core principles.
• Experience in video creation (simple animation, motion graphics, storyboarding, prototyping, etc.).
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, After Effects, and similar tools.
• Adept at working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• The hourly rate for this position is $40-$42/hour (CAD for Canadian residents).
• Range may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications.
