[Hiring] Creative Director @JumpSeat

Role Description

We're looking for a Creative Director to lead our creative department. This is more than a creative leadership role. You'll lead the people, the capacity, and the way we work: our two full-time creatives, our freelance bench, and the process that gets great work out the door. You'll partner with our delivery team on priorities, and set the vision and standards for the department. You'll stay hands-on too, leading brand, campaign, web, and pitch work. And you'll help shape how AI fits into our creative work.

• Lead the department.
• Manage, mentor, and grow our two full-time creatives.
• Set the creative vision and the way we work, then champion it across the agency.
• Build a team people want to be on, and a culture where the bar keeps rising.
• Bring the creative point of view to leadership conversations about where JumpSeat goes next.
• Run the engine.
• Own capacity planning.
• Know when we need more hands. Find, brief, and manage freelancers.
• Partner with the delivery team to set priorities, timelines, and scope.
• Keep sharpening the creative workflow, from brief to review to client handoff.
• Be the single point of contact for every creative deliverable.
• Raise the creative bar.
• Own the quality of everything we make, across every client and channel.
• Lead brand development work: positioning, messaging, and visual identity.
• Concept and lead campaigns, ABM programs, and digital advertising.
• Oversee website design and development.
• Give clear, useful direction to designers and copywriters.
• Work closely with our strategy and account teams.
• Lead the creative side of new business pitches.
• Shape how we use AI.
• Experiment with AI tools across ideation, copy, design, and production.
• Decide where, when, and how AI tools and workflows are adopted.
• Set practical guardrails for quality, brand fit, and client trust.
• Help the team build skill and confidence with new tools.

Qualifications

• A Creative Director, ACD, or Head of Creative from a strong agency.
• A department builder, not just a project lead.
• A true partner to delivery and account teams.
• Experienced at bringing in and leading freelance talent.
• A versatile creative across branding, web, campaigns, and digital advertising.
• Quick to understand the unique aspects of a client's industry, culture, and voice.
• Someone who loves growing people, and builds teams that stick together.
• Hands-on with AI tools, and clear-eyed about them.
• A clear, confident presenter with existing and new clients.

Requirements

• Fluent in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• B2B experience. Helpful, not required.
• You've led a team through a change in tools or workflows before.
