Role Description

Forbes Advisor is hiring a Video Editor to join our growing Creative team and help produce high-volume, performance-oriented video creative for paid social.

We produce high-volume short-form social content on Meta, focused on fast-moving, performance-oriented creative. We’re looking for someone who understands how to create platform-native content with strong pacing, hooks, retention, and storytelling instincts for social-first environments.

This role suits someone who is comfortable working in a collaborative, iterative workflow where creative is regularly tested and refined. We value consistency, responsiveness, and creative judgment over overly polished brand-style editing.

This person is both a strong craftsperson and a creative thinker. You’ll work closely with Creative Directors, Creative Strategists, and the AI Creative Lead to turn scripts, concepts, footage, and generated assets into compelling, platform-native creative. You'll also be expected to contribute to the creative process itself, bringing ideas and editorial judgment to improve the work rather than simply executing against a brief.

We are a human-led creative team that uses AI to move faster without diluting craft. AI is increasingly part of our production toolkit, and you'll be expected to use AI-assisted workflows where they make sense, from generating or modifying footage and images to creating variations and speeding up repetitive production tasks. You don't need to be an AI specialist, but you should be curious, hands-on, and comfortable learning new tools as the technology evolves.

This role will support the Forbes Advisor Home vertical.

Responsibilities

• Edit performance-oriented short-form creative for Meta, TikTok, and other paid social channels, turning scripts, footage, UGC, AI-generated assets, and other source material into compelling, platform-native ads.
• Bring strong creative judgment to every edit, with a focus on hooks, pacing, retention, storytelling, sound, and the principles of direct-response creative.
• Partner with Creative Directors, Strategists, copywriters, and the creative team to develop concepts, solve creative problems, and iterate quickly based on feedback and performance learnings.
• Use AI as part of your everyday creative toolkit, generating or modifying footage, B-roll, images, and other assets when it improves speed, quality, or expands what's creatively possible. Partner with the AI Creative Lead on more advanced workflows.
• Create and iterate on multiple variations of concepts, hooks, messaging, and visual approaches to support a high-volume creative testing program.
• Maintain a high craft bar across picture, sound, graphics, captions, and overall execution while working quickly within brand, platform, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally in social, performance marketing, advertising, content, or a similarly high-output environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating short-form social and performance-oriented creative.
• Deep experience editing for Meta, Instagram, TikTok, and other short-form platforms.
• Strong understanding of:
• Hooks and retention
• Platform-native pacing
• Social-first storytelling
• UGC-style editing
• Captions and subtitles
• Sound design
• Creative testing and iteration
• Comfortable working in a high-output environment where creative is continuously tested, iterated, and informed by performance data.

Requirements

• Required: Adobe Premiere Pro
• Nice to have:
• After Effects / motion graphics
• AI-assisted creative workflows
• Experience with AI video generation tools such as Veo, Runway, or comparable platforms
• Experience with AI voice / audio tools such as ElevenLabs
• Comfort experimenting with emerging AI creative tools and workflows
