Role Description

Est Order Studio invites a 3D Character Artist to join the team at the development stage and participate in shaping its future production pipeline.

About the project:

DEVIL GATE is a dark Action/RPG in the Diablo-like genre with a dark fantasy world, dynamic combat system, and a variety of characters, monsters, and creatures. The project is currently at the MVP stage, preparing for the next phases—Pre-Alpha and Alpha—while refining key project directions and strengthening the production pipeline based on professional feedback.

Responsibilities:

• Create 3D characters, monsters, and creatures based on concepts and technical assignments;
• Work on characters in a realistic dark fantasy style;
• Create High Poly / Low Poly models;
• Perform retopology and create optimized game geometry;
• Create UV layouts and PBR textures;
• Develop anatomy, silhouette, proportions, and details of characters;
• Work with humans, animals, and creatures with non-standard anatomy;
• Refine models based on feedback from the Art Lead and team;
• Adhere to the game's production pipeline and technical constraints;
• Collaborate with Concept Artists, Animators, Technical Artists, and other team specialists.

Qualifications

• Confident skills in 3D character or creature modeling;
• Understanding of the complete pipeline for creating game characters: High Poly → Low Poly → UV → Bake → Texturing;
• Ability to create quality game geometry;
• Good understanding of anatomy and proportions;
• Ability to work with concepts and references;
• Understanding of PBR and principles of creating game materials;
• Ability to independently bring assigned tasks to completion;
• Portfolio with examples of work.

Requirements

• Remote format;
• Internship without formal employment and payment;
• Duration — 1.5 months, with the possibility of extension if desired. The team plans to continue working on the game in a unified composition and soon seek project funding;
• Load — from 2–3 hours a day;
• Experience working in a team on a real, commercial game project that will enhance your professional portfolio. Production tasks and a full pipeline for creating game characters;
• Signing an NDA is required, presence at weekly voice meetings in Discord, and joining the team's work chats.
