Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Quality Analyst to support complex healthcare data applications and integrations. This role will be responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of healthcare data exchanged across multiple platforms and technologies, including APIs, SFTP, Kafka, SQL, Spark/PySpark, and FHIR.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical and analytical skills with an understanding of clinical and healthcare data. You will work closely with development, technology, and business teams to identify data issues, perform root-cause analysis, validate integrations, and ensure healthcare data meets established quality and performance standards. This position will also contribute to application development and production support activities and may provide technical guidance to less experienced team members.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Analyze, design, test, and implement complex application and data enhancements.
  • Perform data quality analysis, validation, reconciliation, and integration testing across healthcare data platforms.
  • Identify data discrepancies and perform root-cause analysis to resolve data quality and integration issues.
  • Validate healthcare data exchanged through APIs, SFTP, and Kafka.
  • Use SQL to analyze, validate, reconcile, and troubleshoot data.
  • Work with Spark, Python, and PySpark to support large-scale data processing and analysis.
  • Support healthcare data integrations involving FHIR and clinical data.
  • Monitor data pipelines and applications to identify issues related to accuracy, completeness, timeliness, performance, and availability.
  • Participate throughout the full systems development life cycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and production support.
  • Maintain data mapping and technical documentation as data sources, structures, and processes evolve.
  • Utilize version control tools such as Git to track changes and collaborate with technical teams.
  • Participate in Agile development and delivery processes.
  • Communicate technical issues, project status, findings, and recommendations to team members, business partners, customers, and management.
  • Lead or participate in technical walkthroughs and project discussions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
  • Ensure work complies with established IT standards, policies, procedures, and quality requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a closely related field.
  • 1โ€“3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Software Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, or similar technical role.
  • Experience working with healthcare or health insurance data.
  • Understanding of clinical data and healthcare data structures.
  • Experience with SQL and data analysis.
  • Experience with APIs and data integrations.
  • Knowledge of FHIR / healthcare interoperability standards.
  • Experience with Kafka and/or event-driven data environments.
  • Experience with Spark, Python, and PySpark.
  • Experience with data reconciliation and integration testing.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3โ€“5 years of data analysis or data quality experience.
  • Strong experience across API, SFTP, Kafka, SQL, and FHIR technologies.
  • Healthcare or health insurance industry experience.
  • Experience with healthcare data integration and interoperability.
  • Experience with data observability and monitoring tools.
  • Experience supporting complex production data environments.

What Will Make You Successful

Youโ€™ll be a strong fit for this position if you understand both the technical and business importance of healthcare data quality. You should be comfortable digging into complex data issues, identifying why something went wrong, and working across technical teams to develop and implement a solution.

If you have experience working with SQL, APIs, Kafka, FHIR, Spark/PySpark, and healthcare data and enjoy solving complex data quality and integration problems, weโ€™d like to hear from you.
