Role Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Customer Engineering team as a Telemetry Fitter. This is an excellent development opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused colleague who enjoys working independently, travelling across the region, and building technical skills in a field-based role. Full training and support will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience and develop a long-term career within Calor.

As part of the role, you'll be provided with a company van, fuel card, smartphone and tablet to support you in delivering an excellent service to our customers.

As a Telemetry Fitter, you will play a key role in supporting our customers by ensuring telemetry equipment is installed, maintained and operating effectively. Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing, maintaining and replacing telemetry units on Calor bulk tanks and customer assets.
• Activating, testing and monitoring devices using smartphone and tablet applications.
• Carrying out site risk assessments and surveys.
• Completing tank exchange and tank switcher surveys.
• Undertaking basic non-gas repair work where required.
• Supporting Gas Engineers with operational activities when required.
• Travelling throughout the region to meet customer service standards across our predominantly rural customer base.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence.
• Strong customer service skills with experience of interacting with customers face-to-face.
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn new skills.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to follow procedures and work safely.

Requirements

• Experience in a field-based, engineering, maintenance or technical role.
• Knowledge of LPG operations or bulk tank installations.
• Awareness of health and safety legislation and industry standards.
