[Hiring] Patient Engagement Coordinator @UPMC

Role Description

Join our team of Life Changers! Magee - Women's Hospital of UPMC is hiring a Casual Patient Engagement Coordinator to support the Women's Health Service Line. This position will work daylight shifts and is remote. Weekend and holiday availability is optional to support the hours of operation.

Purpose:

• Plan and execute activities to enhance patient communication.
• Improve patient flow and identify barriers to address patient experience issues.
• Work collaboratively with the leadership team.
• Coordinate care between departments to ease flow and remove barriers to timely care.
• Develop literature as needed to close gaps in care, educational needs, and patient satisfaction.
• Work closely with all disciplines to provide the optimal patient experience through care coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Address daily operational barriers to promote optimal patient experience and retain patient loyalty.
• Coordinate resources and development activities to meet project objectives both on time and on budget.
• Create and execute patient engagement plans to engage, educate, and retain patients while supporting revenue and business goals.
• Ensure coordination and clear communication among constituents on all activities.
• Identify and detail appropriate activities that drive the patient experience and support retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in healthcare administration, business development, communication, or equivalent education required.
• Three to five years experience in healthcare, marketing, or customer service preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines concurrently.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, initiative, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to interface with all levels of management.
• Good computer skills.
