Role Description

The Delivery Update Message Assistant checks the status already available to the organisation and writes a clear response to customer inquiries about deliveries.

• Explain the update that is actually available.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding:
  • Item dispatch status
  • Tracking links
  • Reported delays
• Distinguish a confirmed update from an unanswered question.
• Keep the customer informed within the employer’s guidance.
• Locate relevant records and compare the latest status with what the customer has been told.
• Ask the responsible team for clarification if the online record is stale or conflicting.
• Record what status was checked and when.

Qualifications

• Ability to write calm, understandable emails.
• Experience in retail, order support, or written inquiries is beneficial but not required.
• Willingness to learn the employer's status terms, online systems, and escalation steps.

• Attention to detail in communication.
• Ability to compare messages with online records.
• Capability to explain confirmed statuses without extending delivery promises.
• Ability to keep personal details within approved systems.
• Home office space for comparing messages with online records.
