[Hiring] Strategic Partnerships Manager @R2

Role Description

We are looking for a strategic, commercially driven operator to join R2’s Strategic Partnerships team, our engine for partner acquisition and long-term growth across Netherlands and Belgium. As a Strategic Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing high-potential partners, owning the full journey from first outreach to signed partnership agreement. You will also support early-stage partnership development post-signature, helping drive execution, expansion, and alignment in the months following launch.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, business development, and enterprise sales, and is ideal for someone who combines analytical rigor, relationship fluency, and a builder’s mindset. You’ll collaborate closely with R2’s Product, Risk, Finance, and Data teams — and work directly with executive leadership at some of the most exciting tech platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead R2’s partner acquisition strategy across Netherlands and Belgium by identifying high-potential targets, conducting TAM analysis, and aligning internally with all internal teams before moving to close.
• Manage the full sales lifecycle from first outreach to signed partnership agreement while building executive-level relationships through regular meetings, strong follow-ups, and in-person engagement across priority markets.
• Represent R2 at top fintech and industry events across the region, building a strong network and identifying new partnership opportunities ahead of the market.
• Act as a strategic partner to newly signed accounts by leading key touchpoints, ensuring alignment on goals, and serving as the internal advocate for execution and long-term success.
• Support quarterly partnership reviews and help identify opportunities for product, segment, or geographic expansion to deepen engagement and unlock new growth with key partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of top-performance experience in strategic partnerships, enterprise sales, business development, consulting, investment banking, or VC/PE, ideally within fintech or tech in NL Belgium.
• Experience at a high-growth tech company in NL and Belgium, ideally at a fintech or payments company.
• Proven ability to build and manage executive-level relationships and influence high-stakes decisions across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of unit economics, financial modeling, and deal evaluation, with the ability to develop and present business cases.
• A builder at heart, someone who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments and takes ownership end-to-end.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
