[Hiring] Senior IT Business Analyst @RBA

Role Description

As a Senior IT Business Analyst, you will work at the intersection of business and technology, translating complex business needs into clear requirements and effective IT solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT experts, and solution architects to understand objectives, analyze processes and capabilities, and bring structure to complex initiatives where requirements are not yet fully defined.

We are expanding the team and looking for several Senior IT Business Analysts. A significant part of our work relates to Core Banking System (CBS) capabilities, particularly retail accounts, retail lending, and payments. Experience in one of these areas is valuable, but we are equally interested in strong Business Analysts who can quickly learn complex business and IT domains.

You will be responsible for the quality of business analysis throughout the change lifecycle, from problem definition and feasibility assessment through requirements and solution shaping to validation. As a senior colleague, you will also mentor less experienced Business Analysts and contribute to strengthening the practice within RBA IT.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Translate business needs, objectives, and processes into clear, structured IT requirements
• Analyze changes affecting banking applications and systems, including Core Banking System capabilities
• Clarify complex or ambiguous business problems with relevant stakeholders and define the required change
• Analyze existing processes and functionalities, identify gaps, and assess the impact of proposed changes
• Prepare business and functional requirements that provide a solid basis for solution design and estimation
• Work with development teams and IT architects to shape functional solutions aligned with business needs and architectural direction
• Assess feasibility and business rationale, including relevant costs, benefits, and other business impacts
• Identify dependencies and risks related to requirements and proposed solutions
• Support solution validation and testing to confirm that implemented functionality meets defined requirements
• Maintain clear and high-quality analysis and requirements documentation
• Mentor less experienced Business Analysts and share professional knowledge and good practices

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in IT, banking, business analysis, or a comparable role
• Strong analytical skills and experience translating business needs into structured requirements
• Ability to understand complex business processes and their interaction with IT systems
• Ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous situations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both business and technical stakeholders
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle concepts and the role of business analysis within IT change
• Familiarity with business analysis practices and frameworks such as BABOK
• Understanding of Agile ways of working
• Ability to quickly develop a solid understanding of banking products, processes, and systems
• Active knowledge of English
• University degree in information technology, another technical field or business, or equivalent relevant professional experience

Nice to have

• Experience working with Core Banking Systems
• Functional knowledge of retail accounts, retail lending, or payments
• Experience working with banking applications or other complex enterprise IT systems
• Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced Business Analysts
