[Hiring] Principal & Team Manager - R&D Business Consulting @Veeva Systems

Role Description

R&D Business Consulting at Veeva is a unique group fusing strategy and operations with data and technology. Further growing our R&D business consulting practice in Japan is a strategic priority for Veeva, with high visibility within the company and to leaders of the wider Life Sciences industry.

As a Principal & Team Leader working within a company at the forefront of digital innovation in the Life Sciences, you will help grow our practice in Japan. The focus will be on:

• Building our brand in the market
• Developing our customer network
• Identifying and acquiring new projects in close partnership with Europe and the US
• Supporting our customers to deliver on their most complex business challenges
• Establishing a close and strong partnership with leadership in Japan and APAC

What You’ll Do

• Lead and/or support global business development opportunities
• Identify new project opportunities and clarify customers' challenges and needs
• Develop a compelling, differentiated proposal to solve these issues
• Support global work in the Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory space
• Leverage your network to identify opportunities and develop our business
• Build new relationships locally in Japan across Biopharma and MedTech
• Be the Japan R&D Consulting Lead for some of our top global accounts
• Build strong and trusted relationships with customers
• Support in the creation of new campaigns, offerings, and thought leadership
• Lead multiple project or program engagement teams

Qualifications

• Significant Industry and R&D consulting experience (at minimum a total of 10 years)
• Experience in the Life Sciences, particularly in the R&D operations area in Japan/APAC
• Extensive network of relevant stakeholders within leadership in Top 20 Life Sciences companies
• Credibility and experience in operating and engaging at senior levels with key Life Sciences customers
• Proven track record of developing new, high value/impact, customer engagements
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing digital transformation and R&D innovation/improvement programs
• Deep understanding of the entire Life Sciences R&D value chain
• Fluent in Japanese and English

Nice to Have

• Experience with digital technologies – platforms, analytics tools, apps, emerging tech, etc.
• Good understanding of Veeva’s broader platforms and solutions
• Experience working with SaaS solutions
• Veeva certified on any of our relevant R&D products
