Role Description

SteadyState Work Partners is a human capital consulting firm specializing in human capital risk mitigation. We work with organizations when a valuable person's Heat-of-the-Moment actions or inaction are creating business consequences—and knowing better hasn't been enough to stop it.

Your job will involve:

• Building your own B2B pipeline.
• Identifying organizations with costly human-performance problems.
• Reaching the people who have the authority and economic reason to solve them.
• Asking what has happened, what they've already tried, and what it costs if this continues.
• Developing relationships with employers and referral partners in HR, employee benefits, commercial insurance/risk, workforce services, consulting, and related fields.
• Originating and closing corporate and individual business.
• Bringing qualified buyers into the SteadyState sales process.
• Working directly with the founder as opportunities develop.
• Maintaining disciplined pipeline and follow-up activity.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success originating and closing new business.
• Experience selling complex B2B services to organizational decision-makers.
• Ability to build a prospect pipeline without relying on inbound or marketing-generated leads.
• Strong consultative selling and discovery skills.
• Ability to identify the financial and operational consequences behind a client problem.
• Comfortable initiating conversations with senior leaders and decision-makers.
• Strong relationship-development and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work independently in an early commercial-stage company.
• Comfortable with commission-only compensation.

Compensation

• 15% of collected revenue on eligible new business you personally originate and close.
• No base salary. No guaranteed draw. No commission cap.
• Earnings examples based on our current pricing:
• 1 corporate engagement = $3,750+ commission
• 3 corporate engagements = $11,250+ commission
• 4 corporate engagements = $15,000+ commission
• Eligible individual business you originate is also commissionable.
• Expected annual commission range: $45,000–$180,000+, based on sales performance.
• Compensation is 100% commission-based and is not guaranteed.
• Commission is earned on revenue actually collected by SteadyState. Earnings examples are illustrative and are not guarantees.

Where You Will Work

• Remote within Texas.
• Occasional in-person meetings with prospective clients or SteadyState may be required in the Austin/Central Texas area.

Where This Can Go

SteadyState is in commercial launch. We are building the sales function now—not hiring someone to inherit one. A successful partner may be considered for SteadyState's planned compensated business-development leadership position as revenue and financing milestones are reached.
