[Hiring] Head of Carbon Partnerships @UNDO Carbon

Role Description

We're looking for a Head of Carbon Partnerships to lead our commercial growth: not only building and closing a pipeline of significant carbon removal offtake deals, but acting as a true strategic partner to both UNDO and our customers. This is a senior commercial leadership role reporting to the CEO, with real influence over UNDO's go-to-market strategy and revenue trajectory, as well as positioning ERW as a scalable and sustainable carbon removal pathway amongst the offtake community.

Responsibilities

• Commercial strategy
  • Develop a clear, actionable go-to-market strategy, including establishing pricing, packaging, and contracting approaches suitable for multi-year carbon removal offtake agreements.
  • Ownership of a rigorous sales forecast, probability-adjusted pipeline, timing to signature/cash and clear CRM discipline.
  • Represent the voice of the market and customer, reporting product and industry insights to UNDO leadership to support product development, financial modeling and the identification of new geographies and project characteristics.
  • Monitor movements and trends in the voluntary and compliance markets and identify opportunities to capitalise.
  • Propose alternate deal structures that align customer interests and risk tolerance with UNDO’s financial modeling in order to unlock new customers or market segments.
  • Act as expert consultant to potential customers, shaping how buyers think about ERW, including procurement criteria, risk, durability, MRV, portfolio construction and contracting.
• Carbon offtakes
  • Build, manage and close a global pipeline of significant offtake agreements across corporate buyers and brokers/intermediaries.
  • Structure multi-year deals (volume, pricing, delivery schedule) in collaboration with Finance and our Delivery teams.
  • Coordinate UNDO’s team to meet potential customers’ complex, robust due diligence requirements.
  • Become a trusted, credible advisor to clients on high-quality, scalable carbon removal, deeply understanding their climate goals and risk considerations, and positioning UNDO as a value differentiated option.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with intermediaries to drive further access to offtake partners and occasional spot buyers.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of voluntary carbon markets, up to date with industry news, scientific advancements and upcoming opportunities.
• A track record of closing complex, significant carbon deals; offtake agreements or comparable long-cycle contracts.
• Experience of defining, building and bringing to market innovative products and commercial structures.
• Proven experience building fruitful relationships with senior stakeholders at both a strategic and tactical level.
• Demonstrable experience of balancing near-term revenue with long-term customer value and delivery feasibility.
• Proven ability to bring clarity and structure to ambiguous, undefined deliverables.
• High confidence-building relationships across time zones and cultures, adapting your style as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate excitement and engagement through brand positioning.
• Self-starter energy, eager to identify and win to new business opportunities.
• Passion for climate tech, sustainability, and science-driven innovation.

Benefits

• The opportunity to pioneer carbon removal, impacting the planet for the better.
• A truly committed and collaborative team of passionate scientific, operational and technical specialists.
• A competitive salary and OTE / incentive scheme.
• Stock options in UNDO.
• Private healthcare cover in the UK and Canada, including the options to add dependents.
• 25 days annual leave (plus regional public holidays) and other paid leave such as volunteer, generous paid sick and dependent leave.
• Enhanced family policies to support a diverse range of personal circumstances.
• Industry leading pension in the UK, with UNDO matching plus 3%, up to 17% total contributions / CPP matched pension contributions in Canada.
• Pension salary sacrifice scheme in the UK.
• Employee Assistance Programme across all regions - a confidential helpful service for you and your family. Financial, wellbeing and emotional support available.

Company Description

UNDO is tackling the greatest challenge of our time: climate change. We are a fast-growing for-profit business that is already one of the biggest carbon removal companies in the world. But this is only the start - we have ambitious plans aligned with great funding, excellent people and an inclusive team.

In 2025 UNDO was named one of four global winners of the $100M XPRIZE Carbon Removal competition, giving further recognition and credibility to enhanced rock weathering (ERW) as a carbon removal pathway, and UNDO as a scientific world leader in this field.

In addition to our successful ERW operations, we’re now leveraging our expertise and underlying technology to deliver the UNDO Platform; the digital, financial, and scientific infrastructure that enables project developers around the globe to run scalable, bankable carbon removal projects.
