[Hiring] Founding Business Development Manager @Banyan Software

Role Description

Banyan Software is seeking a Business Development Manager for CFS Solutions, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. This remote position involves nationwide travel up to twice a month for 1-3 days at a time.

Compensation includes a $95,000 base salary plus uncapped commission, targeting an OTE of $130,000.

The role focuses on managing reseller relationships and driving growth through the following key responsibilities:

• Grow the Channel:
  • Expand through existing resellers, helping them land new financial institutions.
  • Lift low-producing resellers by creating incentive programs tailored to their target markets.
  • Educate and arm the channel with current promotions and necessary collateral.
  • Add new resellers and open new channels, targeting core providers and data centers.
• Own the Commercial Book:
  • Manage reseller contracts, renewals, and pricing discussions.
  • Make financial decisions based on company forecasts and P&L.
  • Conduct partner business reviews with growth targets.

Qualifications

• Strong relationship-building skills, preferably from business development or partner management roles.
• Organizational skills akin to a project manager, managing 40+ relationships.
• Commercial literacy, able to read forecasts and P&L statements.
• Visibility and accountability in a small company environment.
• Experience with AI tools in operations.

Requirements

• Experience in business development or partner management at an ATM/ITM vendor, ISO, or banking-technology company.
• Ability to manage multiple contracts and follow-ups effectively.
• Comfort with variable compensation tied to channel production.
• Willingness to travel for trade shows and partner meetings.

Your First 90 Days to Success

• Days 1–30: Travel with the CEO for introductions to top partners and assess low producers.
• Days 31–60: Develop growth plans for top-tier partners and initiate recruitment conversations.
• Days 61–90: Sign new resellers, launch low-producer programs, and establish a renewals calendar.

• New bookings TCV through the channel.
