[Hiring] Director of Business Development @MultiplyMii

Role Description

MultiplyMii is seeking a Director of Sales & Commercial Growth to formalize and scale our global sales organization. As our first dedicated sales leader, you will bring enterprise process discipline to a commercial function that has driven seven years of bootstrapped growth.

Your mandate is architectural: design the operating model, CRM discipline, and coverage strategy that turn initial opportunities into a predictable revenue engine. You will lead by example as an elite player-coach—personally managing high-value pipelines and closing mid-market/enterprise deals to establish the operational benchmark with the goal of scaling team-wide enablement.

This is a growth-scale opportunity built on a proven foundation. MultiplyMii brings an active base of 200+ clients, robust internal marketing, an active partner channel, and an established HubSpot CRM infrastructure. Your objective is to build the system that captures, tracks, and converts this opportunity flow without leakage.

Our CEO is seeking a true commercial owner to lead day-to-day sales execution, acting as your strategic leverage point, thought partner, and executive sponsor in late-stage deal cycles.

Core Responsibilities

• Growth Architecture & Pipeline Ownership
  • Pipeline Integrity: Take absolute ownership of every opportunity entering the funnel across inbound marketing, partner channels, and executive outreach. Define explicit deal stages, enforce rigorous follow-up cadences, and eliminate pipeline leakage.
  • CRM Discipline: Instill strict CRM hygiene in HubSpot. Maintain clean data entry, standardized deal stage tracking, and forecasting that reflects actual pipeline velocity rather than activity metrics.
  • Existing-Client Expansion: Partner with Client Success Leaders to design an intentional expansion and referral framework across our 200+ active client accounts.
  • Market-Aligned Client Coverage: Design and execute a coverage schedule that delivers real-time responsiveness across US (EST/PST), UK, and Australian commercial hours through structured shift design and personal key-window coverage.
• Personal Sales Execution & Team Enablement
  • Player-Coach Execution: Personally source, pitch, and close mid-market and enterprise deals, establishing the conversion standard before scaling team processes.
  • Team Elevation: Guide our tenured three-person sales team through structured enablement, call reviews, objective scorecards, and real-time deal coaching.
  • Executive Leverage: Operationalize the CEO’s network and executive presence (e.g., LinkedIn social selling) to accelerate high-value opportunities. Collaborate closely with Marketing, Recruitment, and Client Success leadership to align commercial strategy.

Onboarding Roadmap

• Phase 1: Discovery & Discipline (Days 1–30)
  • Audit HubSpot CRM, deal stages, and pipeline leakage points
  • Standardize qualification methodologies (BANT/MEDDIC)
  • Shadow calls and map buyer journeys without disrupting active deals
• Phase 2: Execution & Enablement (Days 31–90)
  • Carry live pipeline and close mid-market/enterprise deals
  • Roll out market-aligned time zone coverage schedules (US/UK/AU)
  • Establish weekly call reviews and 1:1 coaching cadences
  • Operationalize CEO executive network for late-stage deals
• Phase 3: Scaled Revenue Engine (Days 91–180)
  • Deliver predictable, data-driven revenue forecasting
  • Expand total commercial revenue across new and existing accounts
  • Build client expansion frameworks with Client Success Partners
