[Hiring] Business Development Representative @Wildix

Role Description

x-hoppers is growing fast in the US, led by our program with Ace Hardware, the largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative. We are looking for a Business Development Representative based in the US to be the first voice our prospects hear. You will work every new North America lead: independent Ace store owners we meet at Ace conventions, inbound requests and event leads. You will qualify them and book meetings for our Account Executives. In this role, speed and follow-up make the difference.

What You Will Do

• Contact every new North America lead within one business day, by phone and email
• Qualify store owners and retail decision makers, and book meetings for our Account Executives
• Run the follow-up after each Ace Hardware convention, twice a year
• Join Ace conventions and other retail trade shows in the US
• Keep Salesforce accurate: stage, next step and outcome for every lead
• Work closely with our Account Executives, our UK BDR and our marketing team

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience as an SDR or BDR in B2B
• Strong phone prospecting and discovery skills
• A clear, friendly way of talking with business owners
• Organization and speed, also when 150-200 new leads arrive at once
• Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM
• Based in the US, working Eastern or Central business hours

Bonus Points If

• You have sold to retailers, franchisees or independent store owners
• You know the hardware or home improvement channel
• You use AI tools for research, emails and call notes

• Compensation – The total compensation for this role is between $70K–$75K gross per year, including base salary and commissions. The final offer will fall within this range, and reflects the candidate’s skills, experience, and work location.

Interview Process

• Step 1: Initial Screening – 30 mins | A chat with our Talent Team to understand your background, experience, and motivations.
• Step 2: Technical/Role-Specific Interview – 60 mins | A deep dive with your potential manager (Head of Marketing) to assess your skills and fit for the role.
• Step 3: Final Interview – 30 mins | A conversation with leadership or cross-functional team members to ensure alignment with our values and mission.
