[Hiring] Business Development Representative @Huzzle

Role Description

Our client operates in the business acquisitions and M&A space, connecting business owners with private equity firms, buy-and-build platforms, and potential buyers. They help acquisition-focused clients identify suitable businesses while giving business owners the opportunity to explore a sale or receive a free business valuation. Working closely with the founders, you’ll play a key role in building relationships with business owners across Belgium, the Netherlands, and France. This is an opportunity to join a growing business, gain hands-on exposure to M&A, and earn uncapped performance-based compensation tied to qualified meetings, signed seller mandates, and completed transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound cold calls in French and Dutch to business owners across Belgium, the Netherlands, and France
• Generate qualified meetings between business owners and private equity or buy-and-build clients
• Reach out to potential sellers interested in exploring a business sale or receiving a free valuation
• Execute multichannel outreach campaigns using phone calls, follow-up emails, and handwritten postcards
• Plan and optimise outreach sequences, including messaging, timing, and follow-up cadence
• Qualify business owners and assess their alignment with client acquisition criteria
• Review and improve email sequences based on response rates and campaign performance
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, conversations, responses, and next steps in the company dashboard
• Communicate with clients regarding outreach progress, target feedback, and upcoming acquisition requirements
• Collaborate with the founders to prioritise sectors, refine messaging, and test new outreach strategies
• Gradually participate in and lead meetings with business owners, explaining the sale process and buyer requirements

Qualifications

• Fluency in both French and Dutch is essential
• Previous experience with cold calling or speaking to customers, prospects, or decision-makers over the phone
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Interest in M&A, private equity, business acquisitions, or entrepreneurship
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail when managing outreach and follow-ups
• Familiarity with Google Meet, Slack, Claude, and ChatGPT

Nice to have

• A recent degree in Business, Economics, Law, or a related field
• Exposure to M&A, corporate finance, private equity, or B2B professional services
• Experience with outbound email outreach and lead qualification
