[Hiring] Volunteer: Sponsorships & Donation Coordinator @The Spacekind Foundation

Role Description

Our Sponsorships & Donation Coordinator assists our organization by soliciting sponsorships and requests for donations for our global events and fiscal management projects, including Yuri's Night, Cosmic Odyssey Scholarship, Analog Astronaut Conference, and the ZG4STEM Foundation. Our philanthropy communications are vital to supporting our mission to use the excitement and inspiration of space as a catalyst for educating and developing the next generation of explorers.

• Management of new sponsorship components, working closely with local businesses, STEM outreach programs, and internal stakeholders to execute programs.
• Proactively identify potential corporate partners. Engage and schedule meetings to discuss sponsorship opportunities with local businesses, follow-up development sponsorship proposals, and communicate results and decisions to the Executive Director.
• Lead creation of sponsorship support materials, including advertising and collateral material, in partnership with the Operations Director, while maintaining consistency with brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing Team to design and produce creative ideas and design options for donor materials and copy.
• Negotiate and manage sponsorship agreements and serve as liaison with corporate partners on sponsorship execution.
• Understand the mission of the company, including the brand, client, donor, strategic plan, and all other aspects of service delivery.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of sales or philanthropy experience preferred (but not required).
• Working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Google Suite and HubSpot.
• Ability to work alongside a diverse group of employees and simultaneously work toward many company initiatives at once.

Requirements

• Superior oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Experience with donor management software such as GiveButter.
• Experience with content management systems, word processor applications, and image/video editing software (preferred).
• Knowledge of or interest in STEM preferred but not required.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Work is normally performed remotely or in an event space environment.
• Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
