Role Description

The Tournament Volunteer Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and on-site execution of LPGA Tour owned events. This position plays a key role in delivering world-class tournaments by ensuring excellence across all facets of the Volunteer Program.

The Tournament Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for leading volunteer programs involving 500+ individuals, which are critical to the success of LPGA Tour events. This role oversees all aspects of volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, and engagement, ensuring that every volunteer is equipped to deliver a world-class experience for players, fans, and partners. Working closely with the entire tournament team, host venues, and community partners, the Coordinator fosters strong relationships and provides the leadership needed to uphold LPGA standards of professionalism and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in event or sports operations (golf experience preferred)
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Requirements

• Up to 10-12 weeks of travel per year, including weekends and holidays, as required during the LPGA Tour season
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently with flexibility and adaptability
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure in fast-paced environments
