[Hiring] Telecross Volunteer @Australian Red Cross

Role Description

As a Telecross Volunteer, you will make scheduled wellbeing calls, provide social connection, accurately record outcomes, and work collaboratively with the Operations Team using Microsoft Teams and Dynamics 365. Comprehensive training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Be willing to join a nationwide team delivering support programs within Aged and Community Care.
• Possess strong communication and active listening skills.
• Be comfortable working independently within a structured environment.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and provide inclusive support to people from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

• Availability: Minimum 4 hours per week, ongoing long-term position (minimum 12-month commitment).
• Must be able to commit to at least two shifts per week on a regular basis.
• Access to a computer or laptop with a reliable internet connection.
• Participate in mandatory training and e-learning modules.
• Follow privacy, safeguarding, and escalation procedures.
• Maintain clear professional relationships and boundaries.
• Commit to upholding Red Cross policies and the Aged Care Code of Conduct.
• All volunteers will be required to undertake a National Police Check.
